Trying something new

So here it is, my first attempt at a blog. There are so many other mommy blogs out there, I figure somehow I will find the time to do this, right? We'll see!

This is mainly for my mom and dad. I can post for them all the updates, tidbits, and bits and pieces of our lives. There are so many little moments every day that I wish they could be here for. I am hoping this is an easy way to share those with them. Facebook has been great for this, but now that there is the Newsfeed page that gives you everyone's status updates every five seconds, I feel like it too easy to go overboard on there. I like how with a blog people can tap into your life if they want to, as opposed to Facebook plastering it all over your screen every time you log in.

So anyway, here I go! I'm not planning on writing with insight, profundity, or perfect English (not sure that profundity is even a word...) This will just be a conversation about life and my family. Let's give it a go!
