Kiddy Cuteness

Well, I have sure let this fall by the way side...

Excuses? Oh, I am the master of those these days, let's see...

1) Silly Season
2) Too many New Year's Resolutions to do things other than blog
3) Hooked on reading, I am powering through the books these days
4) Too tired in the evening... and now that I am cutting out Michaela's nap these days, this is my only spare moment to sit down and chill out! And that is exactly what I do... bask in momentary laziness. Ahhhhhhhh

Luckily, Delinda's amazing, fantastic, beautiful blog inspires me to poke around on here every now and then. And I DO think my kids are amazing and precious. I wish I could bottle these years up and save them forever.

So, today I am just going to try and write down some of the cute things they do/say so I don't forget too quickly.

Matthew is starting to say more words. Last night there were sharks on TV and he busted that one out, which we have never heard before! Fish are "fee". Anything round is a "bah-ball". Buzz Lightyear is "Buh". Michaela is "KayKay". When you put him into his bed to sleep, he says "nigh-nigh" with the cutest smile. And almost never complains. I'm Ma and Dave is Dadeee. Lately he has picked up saying "Hiiiieeeeeee!" with a high pitch, cheesy grin, and compulsory eye contact. (That one is from me doing it to him all the time!) He will grab your face and make you smile with him while he does it. He is extremely cuddly, but I am using extreme like an Xtreme event in the Xgames. Overly strong cuddles that border on violent. He has started pulling my hair alot lately, so I am think I am going to have to chop it. If I ever lie down, he wants to climb on top of me and sit on my head. He is insanely active, busy, and agile. Some of his antics at the park have led me to refer to him as future SAS. Example: Climbing wall with a rope to pull yourself up. Michaela can barely do it with help. Matt saw another boy (probably Michaela's age) climbing up with help from his dad. So Matt scaled up there SINGLE-HANDED (couldn't drop the sandwhich) alongside him with no rope and beat him to the top. Just one example. This kid blows my mind. He also runs really fast, and still does not understand he needs to stop at a crosswalk. We are working on it. Use your imagination to picture what he is like shopping. Just this morning I needed to go. He was desparate to get out of the cart (it takes some serious fanaggling to get him in!) so he waited until I was bent over putting something in and he LEAPT ONTO MY BACK then climbed off and RAN all the way to the end of the store (its a huge supermarket). I was having a panic attack he was going to run out and I would never catch him. It was insane. He is lucky he is so cute, I could never stay mad. But I was getting dirty looks from some of the grumpy old men. I can't imagine anyone who has ever had children getting upset by seeing children run amok in public. I personally find it hilarious and hope that I can still laugh when I become "old", even if it is laughing at the desparate mother chasing after the wild beasts. I mean, he is not even 2 yet, what can society really expect of me? Trust me, I do not go shopping unless I have to. I usually wait until the weekend so I can leave the kids with Dave, or sometimes go after their bedtime. But often I just need to take them! And Lord help me...

That's enough for now. I'll write more... soon. I hope :)  Need to write about my other lovely child too!!
